INTRODUCTION:

The Drugs Control Administration was extended to Telangana region after the formation of Andhra Pradesh State in the year 1956 when four Drugs Inspectors were appointed and implementation of Drugs & Cosmetics Act was extended to this area.

Subsequently, Drugs Control Administration was also entrusted with the enforcement of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act and the Head of the Department was designated as Drugs Controller and Food Health Authority. The organizational set up of various functionaries in Drugs and Control Administration are broadly classified into two wings.

1. Enforcement Wing 2. Laboratory Wing.

Subsequently, Drugs Control Administration was also entrusted with the enforcement of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act and the Head of the Department was designated as Drugs Controller and Food Health Authority. In the year 1981 the Department of Drugs Control Administration was accorded independent status with a separate Directorate headed by a Director functioning under the Ministry of Medical and Health.

  • Applications regarding Manufacturing Licence Amendments and Certificates shall be accepted online through ODLS portal only from 01-12-2018
    Applications regarding NDPS Licences shall be accepted online through ODLS portal only from 20-11-2018
  • Guideline issued by CDSCO for uploading manufacturing sites and formulation data on the SUGAM Portal by manufacturers

  • Applications for Grant of NOC and Manufacturing Licence for Specific Quantity Exports shall be processed by DCA as a Single Application w.e.f. 20-08-2018
    Applications for Grant and Renewal of Licences of Blood Banks shall be accepted vide online through ODLS portal only from 13th August 2018
  • GO issued regarding amendment of Maximum Response Time for online application process for Grant of licenses and Omission of Renewal of Licences from GO Ms No 103 dated 21-06-2017

  • G.O. issued by Government of Telangana regarding fixation of Time limits for the services provided under Online Drug Licensing System through TS-iPASS under EoDB
